Versace Shoe
Probably not the first brand you think of when talking about shoes, this year’s release of the silver ribbon model got us wondering if the Italian brand has designed a more stylised heel in the last decade. Versace has a strong silhouette on the ballerinas front, but it’s hard not to get surprised by the generally excentric shapes of their high shoes.
Probably an exception, we decided to model and texture this silver version of the ribbon heel by Versace. All the work was done in Cinema4D and rendered with Octane. For the scene, we got most inspiration from Versace’s 2000s TV adverts, where everything was about sensual and antique Roman landscapes and patterns.
We helped ourselves with Octane’s multi-pass technology to give us more room for tweaks in post-pro. It is hard to make a 360º light setup not getting undesired reflection and flare on the way around the product, so this workflow came up very useful.
